GRATEFUL WOUNDS "Healing Through the Hurts that Broke Me Open"
In Grateful Wounds, Tanasha shares raw, intimate moments from her life story while exploring the following topics:
• The 25 biggest red flags in a relationship
• 12 green flags for spotting a healthy relationship
• Signs of physical and emotional abuse
• Trauma and the risk factors associated with unexpected events
• The benefits of therapy
• What it truly means to be vulnerable
• The healing discovery of high heels dance
Residing in Los Angeles, California, Tanasha is a proud ambassador for a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing awareness to mental health issues like anxiety, depression, and suicide prevention. It is a true testament to God’s timing and alignment. Tanasha continues to inspire women around the world to put themselves first, practice self-love, and care for their mental health. As mentioned in the book, she also discovered the transformative power of high heels dance, which profoundly impacted her healing journey and helped her step into her authentic, vulnerable self. The experiences described in this book are deeply personal. Some details have been altered to protect the privacy of those involved, but the emotions and lessons remain entirely true. Writing was a significant part of my healing process. I share this story with love, hoping that anyone walking a similar path might feel less alone and more understood. The journey of motherhood is not easy, nor does it come with a roadmap. I did the best I could with the tools I had at the time. I am truly grateful that God saw fit to use me as a light for others and that I have the opportunity to share this testimony.

Meet the Author:
Tanasha S, Allwood
Tanasha Allwood authored her first adult coloring book in 2017, titled Relax, Wine Down & Color. The book focused on art therapy, which releases the unconscious mind’s thoughts through spontaneous expression. It is a form of psychotherapy that encourages emotional healing through non-verbal means. Through her company, Buzzed Art Nite, Tanasha inspired people from all walks of life to use art to relieve anxiety and stress by leading interactive sip-and-paint sessions. It is no wonder that now, in 2026, we are discovering the story of what truly led her to seek professional help. Years ago, art was one of her primary coping mechanisms. Today, she has taken the time to do the inner work with a licensed therapist for over a year. Through this process, Tanasha built the capacity to genuinely process life’s challenges, including her son’s incarceration, rather than simply coping with them.
